2022 Collector’s Series – Wine Label Art Competition Rules
Terms and Conditions for Entry:
Highlights
- Any two-dimensional work suitable for reproduction on a wine label is eligible.
- Due to label dimensions, vertically oriented pieces are preferred. See below for dimensions. Previous years’ Collector’s Series labels are posted on the Les Bourgeois website at www.missouriwine.com/wines.
- Wine-related subject matter is not required. We request that artwork does not include nudes due to TTB regulations.
- Competition is for artwork only, not label design. Les Bourgeois is solely responsible for determining composition of label design.
- All entries must be received by Les Bourgeois on or before January 31, 2022.
- Winners will be notified in March 2022 and posted on Les Bourgeois Vineyards website at www.missouriwine.com.
Entry
Submit for jurying up to five JPEG files (max file size of 2mb) for entry. Please fill out the entry form for each entry (up to 5). Please note that ONLY
artwork submitted in jpeg form will be considered. Each jpeg must be named as the title of the piece. Please DO NOT include your name in the title of the piece to keep judging anonymous.
Fees
There are no fees to enter; however, each artist may submit no more than five entries. Artists should have enough pieces for a show.
Awards
All entries will be juried by a panel of representatives from the Columbia Art League, Sager Reeves Gallery, and Les Bourgeois Vineyards. Winning artists will receive:
- Label recognition with statewide exposure
- The opportunity to exhibit work at Les Bourgeois Vineyards
- Participation required in the Collector’s Series Release Party and Art Show, tentatively set for Saturday, July 16, 2022.
- One case of the wine on which the artist’s work appears (received at the Collector’s Series Wine Release Party)
Label Dimensions
The artwork dimensions will measure approximately 2.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall of the final, printed label. In addition to the selected artwork, the wine name and Les Bourgeois Vineyards’ logo will appear on the label.
Entry Form Agreement
Important: At the discretion of Les Bourgeois Vineyards, each of these works may be incorporated into any one Collector’s Series label design AND used for Collector’s Series Label promotional materials in any way ROYALTY-FREE. Les Bourgeois reserves the right to use or decline to use any work submitted. By entering, all winners agree to participate in the wine release party and art show. Failure to do so could result in forfeiting the prizes. By checking yes on the entry form and submitting your entry you agree to these terms and conditions. Any entry that does not agree to these terms will be disqualified.
