“Alone we can do so little; Together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
While we are all probably tired of hearing this phrase, it really is a challenging time right now. A lot of people and businesses are struggling. Here at LBV we are all working hard to keep everyone safe and still keep the doors open and the wine flowing. It’s been a crazy time and we’ve all had to make adjustments and rely on each other more than ever. But that’s what is great about being part of a caring community. Community means working together and supporting each other. This community has supported Les Bourgeois Vineyards for 35 years, and we want to continue giving back, now more than ever.
So we are taking something we do well – making wine – and using it to help our community. LBV winery is excited to partner with Voluntary Action Center (VAC) and help our community with a brand new, specialty wine: Together We Can: Cayuga White! This a dry white wine with bright, tropical flavors. It will be sold in a 4-pack of cans, the equivalent of two bottles of wine, and fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to VAC to help with all their amazing work in the community.
VAC helps stabilize low-income families and individuals in Boone County by providing resources for basic and emergency needs in the areas of health, employment, education, and housing, so they can overcome economic hardships and maintain self-sufficiency. Their work is needed even more in our current crisis, and we are looking forward to helping.
Thursday, October 8, VAC is hosting a virtual fundraising event as part of their 573You&Me initiative. You can learn more about their event and donate here. Together We Can: Cayuga White will be available starting Thursday as well. Come visit us in Rocheport to enjoy some at the winery, take a 4-pack to-go, or order online for curbside pickup or have them delivered right to your door. **Pre-orders available now online.**
