Renting an event space [including: The VIP Tasting Room, Pavilion, and Gooseneck Deck] on The Blufftop at Rocheport, you must agree to the following terms and conditions.
Rental Fee & Inclusions:
- You as the client understands that the fee paid is not a deposit but instead a rental fee and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation may not be used towards the final invoice.
- The applicable current tax rate will be charged for all services rendered as determined by the concerned government body.
- Tax exempt functions must present verification prior to final payment.
- If your group exceeds the capacity for the room you are seeking to rent, you must receive special permission for the Private Events Director or be subject to dismissal from the property and additional charges.
Food & Beverages:
- Outside food or beverages are not permitted on The Blufftop properties.
- If alcohol is brought onto the premises the client is subject to a $100 penalty fee and confiscation.
- Food is available for purchase at all retail locations during their regular business hours.
- Catering can be ordered through the Private Events Director, catering@missouriwine.com.
- The Blufftop can accommodate outside specialty desserts with pre-approval.
- In accordance with appropriate Health Codes, The Blufftop reserves the right to discard any leftover food items where there is a reasonable risk for food borne illness to occur.
Cancellation & Refunds:
- Refund Policy: You may request to reschedule or cancel your event space rental for a full refund, up to 30 days before the date and time of the reservation, 14 days before the reservation you will receive a 50% refund, and less than two weeks before the reservation will not receive a refund.
- Cancellation by the Client: In some special circumstances, rental fees for canceled events may be held for up to 1 (one) year, to be put towards another private event booked with The Blufftop. Future events must be booked through the private events director, adhering to a newly signed contract and applicable fees will be applied.
- Cancellation by The Blufftop: The Blufftop reserves the right to terminate this contract for reason of non-payment, or covid situations due to staffing or local laws in mandatory shut down.
- If The Blufftop cancels the event the rental fee will be refunded
Decorations:
- No items may be hung on the walls or wood surfaces.
- NO CONFETTI, GLITTER, SHREDDED MATERIAL, BIRDSEED, SMALL BEADS, HAY BAILS, FEATHERS OR RICE is permitted inside or outside the facility.
- NO SYNTHETIC FLOWER PETALS, FLAMMABLE PAPER LANTERNS, BALLOONS, OR OTHER NON-BIODEGRADABLE MATERIALS MAY BE USED OUTSIDE.
- A $50.00 incidental fee will be applied to your final bill in the event that prohibited materials are used.
- All decorations are the client’s responsibility to set up and must be removed at the conclusion of your event. The Blufftop is not responsible for items left after your event and does not guarantee the security of those items, no storage is provided.
Conduct Policy:
- Misconduct that is unruly or inexcusable can result in dismissal of the individual or entire group. Violence or harassment toward The Blufftop’s staff/other guests or any vandalism of The Blufftop property will result in immediate dismissal of the individuals involved or the entire group. The on-site contact is assigned full responsibility of the behavior for the entire group.
- Refunds on rentals or food/services will not be issued in the event of cancellation or dismal due to behavior related incidents or weather.
- In accordance with Missouri state law, The Blufftop retains the right to refuse service to any individual who displays signs of intoxication.
