Join us for an evening with Noah Earle! This show is free admission and will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25th.
“I have long wanted to be a farmer/poet, but it turns out I’m better at making up songs than writing poetry. I used to travel from coast to coast playing these songs, but it became clear upon the birth of my second son that I should shift the music portion of my dream to the backburner. Despite all the demands of farm life, I still get a chance from time to time to play music, mostly for community events in central Missouri.”
Join us on Sunday, June 27 from 4 to 6pm and be the first to taste the newest release in our premium Blufftop Cellars line, a delicious 2020 Missouri Viognier. The 2021 Collector’s Series Wines are:
2020 Aromella featuring “Giddy” by Amelia Dean
This hybrid white variety, developed at Cornell, is new to Les Bourgeois Vineyards, and was produced in a dry style. It has all the grace and quality to fool any Alsace wine lover into thinking it has been around for hundreds of years. Initial hints of white pepper, melon and basil come across in the nose. As the wine warms in the glass the aromas transform to a more floral and perfumed offering. Nice, light mouthfeel with just enough acid to make it a contender for pairing with many cuisines of the world.
2019 American Red featuring “B.G. Gruff” by Bill Manion
This blend of traditionally Spanish varieties — Alvarelhão, Tinto Cao, and Souzao — all grown in Lodi, California, come together wonderfully to provide an easy-to-drink, balanced dry red wine. The grapes underwent fermentation and maceration all together in a single tank, allowing their sensory qualities to intermingle from the earliest possible moment. Post fermentation, this unique wine was aged in 2 year old American oak barrels for 14 months. Black raspberry is the dominant fruit character both in the nose and on the pallet.
2019 Syrah featuring “Elementary” by Christian Mouser
These Syrah grapes were grown in Lodi, Ca., processed in Rocheport, Mo. by our winemakers and aged in American Oak barrels for 24 months. Blackberry, black currants, and tar are the dominant aromas, which might lead you to believe this wine would be dark and jammy on the pallet, but do not be deceived. This is a very fruit forward Syrah with warm and lingering notes of candied ginger and a perfectly ripened fruit finish, as if you just bit into a freshly baked ginger snap cookie.
The event will be spread out across the patio of our Tasting Room, Crush Pad, and winemaiking facilities, located at 12847 W. Hwy BB, Rocheport, MO 65279 – immediately off I-70, exit 115.
