This special Late Harvest Vignoles is Les Bourgeois Vineyard’s first-ever late harvest Vignoles, made possible by the drought conditions of 2022. Late harvest wines are a rarity in Missouri’s terroir, as the warm summer rains and humid climate usually prohibit sugar development.
This wine is luxurious and complex, with notes of ripe banana, sweet honeycomb, and warm clove. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with a luscious sweetness beautifully balanced by the classic acidity Vignoles is known for. This Late Harvest Vignoles showcases the best of the Vignoles grape and Missouri terroir, and pairs wonderfully with chèvre, apple crisp, and cupcakes.
